I'm interested in writing stories which focus on the personal rewards of taking risks and creating photographs which evoke a desire to explore.
I teach German an an immersion school. Working in a bilingual setting enables me to keep my own language skills sharp and help my students develop their own travel savvy skills.
My favorite travel quote by Henry Biernacki:
"Tourists have a destination. That is why there is always somewhere to go for a tourist always paying for something else. A traveller knows that the somewhere does not matter and somewhere can catch up anytime, knowing a story is being cultivated.
The test of one's character is not doing something, an action, which you know you can perform; but rather having the sureness of undertaking something of which you are wholly naive and still making it all work out in your favour."
